green-goddess-grilled-cheese-sideThrowing dinner parties is a monthly occurrence around here which means a lot of indulging can happen even when we are trying to stay healthy and eat well.

A lot of appetizers have a bad rap for their carb loaded, extra salty ingredients but we can’t seem to put them down. Spinach and artichoke dip is one of our favorite things on planet Earth and the idea of never eating it again simply because of a diet is unthinkable.

What can we say, we’re a sucker for small plates and tiny bites and we’re not going to stop any time soon. Besides, what fun would life be without the addition of delicious party snacks?

We’ve said it before, and we will say it again: the key is to find ways to cut calories here and there, not everywhere. Some people have the discipline to eat healthy all the time. Others want to make better choices where and when they can (points at self), but not eliminate vices completely.

Alright, enough chatting, let’s get to the meat of it all, the recipes!

As usual, we’ve scoured the internet for delicious recipes that, in our humble opinion will be awesome. Many we’ve made, others we’re planning to try and overall, we think they will be delicious treats for you to enjoy.

Baked Crab Rangoon

Sweet Potato Fries with Chipotle Aioli (I used low fat mayo to make this healthier)

Buffalo Chicken Meatballs

Spinach, Goat Cheese and Avocado Grilled Cheese (Cut them into bite sized squares and add toothpicks! see above photo!)

Veggie Sticks with Avocado Lime Dip

Spinach Dip

There are tons of recipes to choose from, and the internet is abound with healthy alternatives for your typical party snacks.

What are your favorite healthy party snacks to serve during your parties? We could always use some extra tips!
