  Best Dressed of the night! The hair, the makeup. The cut, the fit, the color. She was glam, through and through, elegant and modern with an unexpected cut-out.

  On anyone else, this dress might have looked gorgeous. But it was ill-fitting and crutches aside, she looked sloppy.

  She may not have taken home gold, but she looked stunning in this copper-toned gown that matched her copper-toned locks. This might be her best red-carpet look yet.

  

• Kerry Washington in Miu Miu.

  One of the best pops of color of the night. Many of the ladies chose a neutral or toned-down palette, but Kerry stood out in her coral gown.

  

• Charlize Theron in Dior Haute Couture.

  Not our favorite look. Dior claimed another lady, but while the embroidered details make the dress, Charlize could have used a touch of color on her lips. Or something. Plus, we're kind of over the peplum.

  Big princess dress is sometimes an obvious choice, but Amy Adams has walked the Oscars red carpet many times before, and the details on this gown are stunning.

  

• Jennifer Lawrence in Calvin Klein at the 2013 Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

  She changed into a form-fitting, slinky Calvin Klein number for the after-party. Might not have been appropriate for the ceremony, but we loved it.

  Backless detail on Anne Hathaway's Prada gown. If the front felt lacking, the back detail gave the dress some gusto. We're also guessing she wore her necklace backwards, which was a nice touch.
