There are quite a number of “interesting” baby shower games. Case in point: the dirty diaper game, where guests are asked to smell candy smashed in diapers. Sounds like a waste of perfectly good diapers (and perfectly delicious candy). For those not looking to put their guests’ noses through the ringer, here a couple of games that bring the laughs, and that work very well for the co-ed shower.

Pregnant Twister— expectant moms know how hard it is to even tie their shoes after a certain point, but letting the guests play at being pregnant (with quite the twist!) will give everyone a reason to get engaged. Guests will test their Twister skill while wearing a faux-pregnant belly (pillows work just fine). It’s a great game for co-ed showers, and the mom-to-be can kick back and watch everyone fall flat (especially her baby-daddy).

You’ll Need:
One Twister game
Wrist weights
Pillows
Fanny packs

How to Play:
Each guest gets a pillow, a fanny pack, and a set of wrist weights. Have each guest put the weights in their fanny pack and strap the pack and pillow around her waist.
Follow normal Twister rules.
Mom-to-be is the judge, and the last one standing is the winner.

Who’s the Baby– if Instagram’s Throw Back Thursday hashtag has taught us anything, it’s that people love baby photos of themselves.

This game asks guests to bring a photo of themselves as a baby, and let others guess who’s who.

You’ll Need:
A baby photo of each guest (ask them to bring one when you send out the invitation)
A clothesline with clips
Pens and paper

How to Play:
Collect the baby photos when the guests arrive.
Hang up the photos and label each one with a number.
Distribute paper and pens to the guests.
Over the course of the shower allow the guests to match the baby photos to the adult.
The person with the most correct matches is the winner.

The Newly-Parent Game:

You’ll Need:
2 Mini White Boards
2 Dry Erase Markers
2 Dry Erase Pens

How to Play:
A “host” asks questions and encourages the mom and dad-t0-be to test their parent-to-be knowledge.

Sample questions include:
What will the baby be when he/she grows up?
What will the babies first word be?

Just don’t let it cause any tiffs.

Baby Pictionary:

You’ll need:
Playing cards with words or phrases that have to do with babies (made before the shower) and a large board to draw on

How to play:
Guests divide into teams.
Each round one player from each team picks a card and must draw on the board. If their team guesses the allotted time they get a point. Same Pictionary rules.
First team to 10 points wins.
