This past week I didn’t have a chance to go to my usual manicure appointment, and for some reason I wasn’t fazed by it. Perhaps I just needed a week off or was shockingly busy. As the week wore on, I noticed my nails looking bland and boring and I needed to find a new nail polish to jazz them up. While perusing my local Walgreens, I came across Sally Hansen Salon Effects – Real Nail Polish Strips, and how much fun are they! These “nail polish strips” are not your childhood press on nails, but so much more fun!

Sally Hansen Salon Effects come in 24 colors and patterns. Some of my fav’s are the leopard print, lace and tie dye. There are also glitter patterns which are great, because the glitter won’t ruin your nails like a regular polish would. They are like real nail polish, because they ARE real polish. A double plus is that they are already dry so there is no drying time! They last up to 10 days and can be removed easily with nail polish remover.  The kit comes with 16 strips, along with a file, buffer and cuticle stick and voila that’s all you need!

To apply, all you have to do is select the shape that fits your nail best, stick them on, press down and file off the excess. Does it get easier? In less than 15 minutes, I had black and white “check it out” printed nails.

This isn’t a pattern or color that I would normally choose, but for $9.99 that’s cheaper than any manicure I could get and I didn’t even leave my house. The only thing missing is someone to massage my shoulders…..oh dear husband where are you…..
