Goya black beans are delicious and the perfect change up for chili. I have to sneak around making things healthier, and I really try to hide it from my boyfriend. When I used ground turkey in this recipe, he did not even notice this difference.  The chili was simple to make, and does not require much attention. While most people serve chili with chips or rice, it can be a fun change up to use polenta instead.

chiliMake this dish for a group while it’s still cold! This was a huge hit in my household.

You can buy polenta pre-made or make it yourself, jut know it takes 4 hours to set before you can fry it.

Turkey Chili

Just place 1 tbsp of olive oil in large pot with garlic and onion. Cook until the onions are clear then add a pound of ground turkey and brown until there is no pink left.

Then add 3 cans of Goya black beans, 1 can of crushed tomatoes, 1.5 tablespoons of chili powder, 1 tbsp oregano, and tbsp basil. Place heat on low and simmer for one hour.

Cut polenta into squares and fry each piece until it’s browned on each side. Cover the polenta with chili and serve! I promise everyone will love this small change up on chili.
