As warm weather heads for the hills, you may find your summer glow following. Dry, itchy, flaky skin is common during the cold seasons. As a result, we end up spending way too much money on moisturizing products that ultimately do not work. Likewise, many of these products are filled with artificial chemicals which can have detrimental effects on our health. Many of these preservatives and additives can increase your risk for breast cancer, and cause further skin irritation and dryness because they prevent oxygen from flowing through your pores.
Instead, make your own all-natural moisturizer! Honey is a natural skin moisturizer. It attracts water, which locks in moisture and makes your skin radiate. Added perk, it also fights blemishes and breakouts! Aloe is a super food for your skin. It contains 75 nutrients that fight skin frustrations from sunburns to pimples.
To reap the benefits of these two natural skin healers, all you need is 1 tsp raw honey and 1 tsp aloe vera juice. Mix the honey and aloe until completely blended. Use a clean blush brush to paint on the honey mixture. Let it sit for 15 minutes (you could use this time to soak in a cozy bubble bath!) and then rinse.
