We’ve all been there at some point in our lives. Feelings of insecurity, frustration, and rejection become overwhelming when he seems to still be interested in dating but any further commitments are stuck at a stand still. Ladies, it is time to start evaluating our own reactions to his reluctance instead of playing the blame game on his “commitment issues.”

There are many reasons why he may be having second thoughts such as a recent disagreement between the two of you. However, here are four reactions that you must avoid if you want a last chance to snag him.

  1. 1.    Feelings Mean More Than Actions

So what if he introduced you to his parents or invited you to a work party. Yes, he probably sees major potential in you and likes you enough to want to show you off. However, this is not a surefire sign that he is about to commit to you. Don’t develop expectations.

  1. 2.    Being Exclusive Does Not Count

If he agrees to be exclusive, this is nothing but a temporary agreement. Exclusivity is an easy way out. He gets to continue to see you without engaging fully in the relationship. I can guarantee he would not hesitate to tell you he has started seeing someone else.

  1. 3.    Talking the talk without walking the walk

If you continue trying to talk to him about the relationship, he will only feel nagged. Instead, connect with him on a deeper emotional level. Believe it or not, men crave these emotional connections. Empathize with him.

  1. Stay Calm and Carry On

We tend to become insecure when we feel him moving on. Sometimes we become so afraid that we turn into someone that we, or him, don’t recognize. The fun stops and the trust stops. The relationship becomes stressful because we try too hard and push him further away.

  1. Oh Dear……. lol Guess I really need to work on this… The guy I’m involved with currently fits this description to the fullest… He even introduced me to his parents after a year of “hanging out”. Yet he’s involved with another girl too. Needless to say I have definitely turned into a monster more than once… and its caused more stress than anything. Good to know I’m not the only one, nor is he.
