If you dream of filling your closet with lux and designer goods but don’t have the luxury of disposable income, or you have always bemoaned the eyes-out-of-skull price tags that hang from department store racks… the sample sale can be your best friend. That is assuming you get there early, beat the crowd, and fight for that piece in your size.
There are sample sales every other day in big cities, but this Thursday, November 17th Phillip Lim 3.1 is hosting his first sample sale. First as in EVER, which is kind of huge because so many of his pieces find their home on the red-carpet or in the closets of the rich and well-dressed, and they are now accessible for you. It’s the sample sale event of the season!
The event takes place in Downtown’s Cooper Building.
860 South Los Angeles Street. 11th FL.
Los Angeles, CA 90014
The sale begins on Thursday November 15th, from 12n-6pm and ends on Friday November 16th, from 9am-4pm.
It will feature women and men’s ready to wear, accessories and shoes. It will also feature some kids wear. The flyer boasts that everything will be listed well below retail prices.
The best part, you can shop without buyer’s remorse because proceeds from the sale will benefit The American Red Cross for the Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts. Those will be dollars well spent and worn!
Also starting the same day (Thursday November 15th), in the same Cooper Building (how fortuitous), is the A.L.C (second time in L.A.) sample sale, which will include items from pre-fall 2012, summer 2012 and fall 2012. Items will be marked up to 70% off. Looking for a leather jacket for winter? A.L.C has you covered.
