Health Tip: When Your Child Rides With Someone Else

Your child should always be safe in the car, even if you’re not behind the wheel.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends:

Making sure your car seat fits properly in the other person’s car. If it’s not your car seat, make sure it’s installed properly.
Ensuring that any driver has a valid license.
Making sure there’s always another adult in the vehicle to supervise the kids, so the driver can stay focused.
Making sure that any driver knows what to do in an emergency.
