The Gansevoort Meatpacking has been a Manhattan hot spot for some time, especially since it’s cobble-stoned streets now play host to the exclusive nightlife venue Provocateur.  But if you want to step away from the folly of the downtown crowd, there’s a new Park Ave. Midtown location just waiting for you to check-in.

The hotel is sleek, caters to a slightly older clientele, and a sophisticated air wafts through the three-story atrium lobby.

The rooms are spacious with high ceilings, have the perfect city-feel and the bathrooms feature fabulous, deep tubs. The rooftop pool encourages you to get wet, while soaking in the views of surrounding skyscrapers.

Pop by the gym on the 3rd floor and run off those vacation desserts while watching the foot traffic on 29th.  After the gym, spoil yourself with a facial from exhale Spa and perfect your coif at the renowned Cutler Salon.

Plus you’re walking distance to a ton of great places.  A few spots to definitely check out include:

  • Stumptown Coffee.  Unless you’re a sucker for room service, in the am head west on 29th to Stumptown.  Though the staff likes to wear hats, you don’t need to cap yourself to enjoy a perfect cappuccino.
  • Madison Square Park.  After you’re sufficiently caffeinated, head to the park located on 10 Madison Avenue.  Bring a book, grab yourself a seat and get lost in the romance of the city.  If you start to get hungry, stroll to the southeast corner to The Shake Shack and indulge with one of the best burgers in NYC.
  • The Empire State Building.  You’re just a few minutes away from this historical landmark.  If you’ve never been to the top, as Sleepless in Seattle cheesy as it sounds, take the elevator up and soak in the sights from above.
