Take your boring burger up a notch with these simple add-ons to your normal burger! Most of them are really simple add-ons that can still make burger night fast but also more enjoyable. You can use any type of burger you want- beef, turkey, pork, salmon, veggie, portobello, etc. then follow the simple instructions below:
The Caprese Burger: The Italian burger requires a normal burger patty and a bun of your choice. I highly recommend ciabatta bread for this one or some other kind of Italian bread. Rinse a tomato and some fresh basil. Slice tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella. Layer on the mozzarella, the tomatoes, and top the pile with basil. For the bun, use pesto sauce or pesto aioli as a spread. Another option is of course a combo of balsamic vinegar and olive oil. You can even sneak some vinegar into the burger itself before grilling.

The Hawaiian Burger: While you’re grilling your burger, grill rings of pineapple to top your burger as well. Swiss is the cheese to use for this burger, and finally top it all off with some sweet teriyaki sauce.

The Greek Burger: For this burger, add sliced red onion, tomato, sliced olives, maybe some sliced cucumber and pepperoncinis, and feta cheese. For a spread on the bun, use an olive tapanade or Tzatziki sauce.

The Southwest Burger: Your burger needs pepperjack cheese on top, and then sliced avocado, tomato, lettuce, and onion. Use hot sauce instead of ketchup for a southwest touch.

Tonight we’re having the southwest burger with a side of baked sweet potato fries (yay superfoods) at my house, jealous?
