In my endless blog reading hours I came across one that I just have to share.  Basically this blog is written by a guy.  A guy who is a husband, and a father to a little girl.  His entries are short (and incredibly sweet!).  They are usually accompanied by a photograph.  It doesn’t sound so fantastic when you put it like that does it?  Trust me when I tell you that this blog is absolutely worth your time to check out.  It is worth your time passing on to anyone you know who has a daughter.  Our blogger, Michael, writes “rules” for fathers with daughters.  I wish I had come across this blog closer to Fathers Day so I could have done something sweet for my husband with some of the rules and telling him how much of a rockstar he is for already doing most of what’s on that list.  I suppose I could have waited until next year, but honestly this was too good to share.  Here are a handful of my favorites.

1. Love her mom. Treat her mother with respect, honor, and a big heaping spoonful of public displays of affection. When she grows up, the odds are good she’ll fall in love with and marry someone who treats her much like you treated her mother. Good or bad, that’s just the way it is. I’d prefer good.

2. Learn to trust her. Gradually give her more freedom as she gets older. She will rise to the expectations you set for her.

3. Dry her off after bath time. When she lays her clean little head on your shoulder and grabs a piece of your shirt, you will want to freeze time.

There are plenty more of these little gems found at http://lifetoheryears.com  Go read them.  Share them with a daddy.  Call your daddy and tell him how awesome he is.
