Nothing makes a better first impression than a well put together lady, but on mornings when you hit the snooze button again and again (and again!), or if you’re bogged down by kids or pets that steal your precious morning hours, here are some easy steps to take to make sure you always put your best foot forward.

Don’t waste time naked in front of the closet. If you shower in the morning, use that time to plot what you’re going to wear. The key to this: sticking to it. Make a decision. If you shower at night, use this time in the same capacity, and lay that outfit out.

Wash your hair before bed. Too much time is lost here.

Have go-to dresses. These are floral prints or basics in multiple colors that work across all seasons. On the mornings when you’re stuck between a pant and a hard place, just throw on one of your go-to frocks.

ORGANIZE. This is SO key. Much time is frittered away looking for that [insert lost item here]. I’ve lost double digit time on a rampage searching for the one thing I can’t find. Life is so much easier when you take the time to organize. Similar rule: if you pull it out, put it away.

Whittle your beauty routine to ten minutes. All you really need is moisturizer, a dash of powder, and a dab of color. It’s daytime.

Make a list. If you’re plagued by morning anxiety, there’s nothing wrong with prep. Routine can be boring, but when it comes to the morning, getting up and out the door means you allow all the more time for a longer day of possibilities.

If you’re a social media queen–use Pinterest to plan your outfits! And then you can share with friends.
