milkandcookiesWe’ve been trying our best to eliminate dairy from our diet. Yes, a lot of you will start yelling that we need it for calcium, or that we’re crazy for ditching cheese products, but we’re trying it out even if it’s just taking it down a notch each week. Since we have a serious sweet tooth, and we will never stop making desserts completely, we had to seek out some dairy free options to replace our usual menu items.
As always, moderation is key, so we are also trying to only have dessert a few times  a week instead of after every meal. (Yes, we’ve been known to sneak a brownie after breakfast. Oops.)
Here are some recipes from around the web that are now on our list of things to make in the near future.
Coconut Panna Cotta – Coconut milk is a common replacement for cows milk, and we aren’t mad about it. We love the flavor so we don’t mind it being added to just about everything we consume.
Almond Milk Chocolate Pudding – We’ve just been introduced to the idea of almond milk pudding, and to say we can’t wait to sink our teeth into this is an understatement.
Banana Coconut Crumb Cake – You could make this vegan by using a flax egg replacement too!
Toasted Marshmallow Ice Cream – Use almond milk instead of cows milk and you are good to go! Crumble up some graham crackers to put on top as well as a little bit of raw chocolate syrup. S’Mores in a cup!
Frozen Hot Chocolate – A vegan take on the delicious dessert from a very popular NYC restaurant!
Coconut Macaroons – A childhood favorite of mine with a healthier twist!
The internet is abound with awesome dairy free recipes, and we hope the ones we’ve chosen for you delight your pallet, and inspire some dairy free dessert making!
