Today we are holding a meeting for the obsessed pet lover. Welcome. My name is Sasha, and I am so obsessed with my two cats that I post pictures of them on Instagram at least four to five times a week, if not more. Whether it’s the cute way Nala covers her eyes when she sleeps, or the slightly cross eyed look Washburn gives me when he’s waiting for a treat, nothing has gone undocumented, and I’m sorry I’m not sorry.

Anyone with a pet knows that our little furry friends are like our children. We’ll do anything to keep them happy and healthy, and we take great pride in having pets who are well taken care of. They deserve all the love we give them, and we’re more than happy to oblige. Raise of hands if you’ve left a party early because you need to walk your dog or you realize your cat needs their meds at a certain time. Yup. Us too.

So it should come as no surprise that baking pet treats from scratch is another way we’re prepared to spoil our fur babies!

Recently, we saw a friend of ours from high school Instagram a pic of some homemade dog treats (in the shape of a cat head! Grumble grumble! Just kidding, totally cute idea) and it inspired us to search for some dog and cat treats that we could try to make as well.

Here are some that we found.

Dog Treats

Recipes from Cesar Milan (how could you not trust the dog whisperer!)

20 Recipes from Pet Anthology

Jerky Treats

Cat Treats

Healthy Cat Snacks from WebMd

Cat Treats by Natural Pet Essentials

Chewy Cat Treats by Joy The Baker (one of our favorite baking blogs!)

We’re not a vet or certified in pet nutrition so you always want to check the recipes before feeding anything to those cute animals of yours, but we thought these looked great and hope it inspires some home cookin!
