As it begins to warm up, the demand for ice cream also begins to rise. The average person eats 25 pounds of ice cream, which is about 23.2 quarts of ice cream a year! I love ice cream, despite its inability to help my midsection and weight. As an ice cream aficionado I can guide you to the best kinds and the healthiest kinds!
Ben & Jerry’s, no matter what, is one of my top two brands. Ben & Jerry’s is all kinds of amazing, with its unique flavors like Half Baked and Whirled Peace. The flavors are intricate but probably one of the least healthy things you can eat. On the bright side, they now make frozen yogurt in some of their flavors like my favorite, Half Baked! Half Baked has cookie dough AND brownie dough… like really, you can’t go wrong there.
Blue Bell ice cream is the other top brand I go to for ice cream. I always have a half gallon hanging out in my fridge, and it often calls my name at all times of day. I know it sounds strange, but the banana pudding flavor is insanely good! The ice cream is a lightly vanilla/banana flavor with a ribbon of “whipped cream” and chunks of Nilla wafers. Though the concept definitely sounds weird, I highly recommend trying it. Their classic Cookies ‘n Cream, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Mint Chocolate Chip are astronomically better than your average brand, and it’s all made in my home state of Texas! They sell some no sugar flavors, some yogurts, sherbets, and light ones too. They even make Cookies ‘n Cream in light version, buy it ASAP! Look for the colored rims in a grocery store near you.
So yes, there is a way to have your ice cream and eat it too!
