There is something about the sweet yet tart flavor combination that is always appealing, and sends us straight into a state of nostalgia. While we will sometimes settle for a glass of mass produced lemonade, we much prefer the flavor of something home-made or made in house at the restaurant.
Even though it’s totally blustery out there, there’s no reason we can do a little spring planning. Plus, if it’s winter outside, why not fake spring/summer indoors. Turn up the heat and enjoy a cold, refreshing glass.
Lavender Lemonade – We first tried this concoction at a local vegan restaurant in Culver City, CA called Native Foods. The sweet and floral mixture was so delicious we had to have seconds. And thirds. Good thing refills were free!
Watermelon Lemonade – There is a Mexican restaurant we love in Santa Monica, CA called Tacos Por Favor. They have fresh watermelon juice, and lemonade. While they may not mix them together and offer it as a drink, this is the first place I decided to mix these too juices together, and man, am I happy I did!
Blueberry Lemonade – Lucky for us, there is a restaurant here in LA called Lemonade and they have tons of creative flavors for all of those who love this drink. Our favorite is their blueberry! The perfect summer drink, if you ask us.
Cucumber Mint Lemonade – We tried this at a restaurant in Westwood called TLT. It scared us a bit before we took our first sip, but it ended up being one of the most delicious treats we’ve ever had. So good.
