The Sock-snatchers is a book about a family that lives in the cellar of the Perkins family house and snatches their socks.  They mainly use the socks to cook their soup and make their beds.  But these days, if the Socksnatchers know anything about anything, they’d be using those Perkin’s socks to make…. SOCK BUNS!

The Sock Bun is the newest hair trend to hit our heads, and unlike fancy pants braids or you need a salon ombre, all you need is one sock, one head, and about five minutes.

Some people use the sock bun to create easy and beautiful curls, but I like wearing it as is, so my hair looks full andgreat on days when I don’t have time for a wash.

What You’ll Need

Fabric scissors

A sock (the longer the sock, the bigger the bun).

A hair tie

Bobby pins

Hairspray

What to do

Step 1

Sock and scissor in hand, snip sock at the toeRoll the sock into a ring. It will look like a donut.

Step 2

Gather your hair in a high pony on the top of your head.Secure at the crown.

Take your rolled up sock and put your ponytail through the hole.

Step 3

Place the sock donut at the very end of the ponytail and pull strands through the hole in the center. Starting in the front, smooth the ends around the donut, tucking them underneath. Try to disperse hair evenly.

Step 4

Slowly roll the sock and hair down the ponytail until you reach the crown.

Step 5

Secure with bobby pins. Spritz to tame unruly frizz.

Tip: pick a sock that matches the color of your hair.

The only part that might prove difficult is step 3, but with each try it gets easier!
