Mascara……You are my cosmetic of choice.  Finding a new one that plumps, lengthens and darkens my few frail lashes all in one is like finding the holy grail.  Only better, if you ask me. At present count, I have eight and really, I am not even sure that is enough. However, mascara can be very costly and this recessonista was thrilled to discover a new fantastic mascara find, Cover Girl Lash Blast!  It’s practically a steal at less than $9 a tube.  Mascara lovers, rejoice!

lash blastMy Cover Girl Lash Blast may be lucky number 9 tube of mascara in my make-up arsenal, but it has been my new go-to for the last few weeks, as it helps me create lashes that look like falsies. It goes on smoothly and multiple layers can be applied to provide thick, full lashes without clumps or spider-leg looking eyes (the ultimate make-up no-no!).  In addition, the true black that I chose is the perfect black for my hazel eyes, creating lashes that look like they were professionally died and thicker than I have ever achieved; even with mascaras that I paid more than double for.

In the last few years, not only has there been great innovations in the development of new mascara formulas, but also wands as well.  There are now wands that are spherical (I own it), ones that osculate (don’t own these because they scare me), and ones that have bristles that are different sizes with a flip of the wand.  Lash Blast comes with a soft, thick plastic wand, with a head with a larger circumference then any other product that I have seen out there.  Because of the girth of the wand, it is incredibly easy to use, even for a mascara novice.

I recommend that those who apply Lash Blast coat lashes from root to tip, flipping out the wand at the end and finishing with a little mascara wand wiggle.  I use three coats for evening to provide optimal high volume lashes.  For day time, even one coat gives you unprecedented levels of thickness and shine.

Cover Girl Lash Blast is one cosmetic bargain that makes this recessonista happy.
