As much as you might enjoy wiggling your piggies in the sand, it’s almost time to retire summer sandals.  That’s right.  It’s about to be boot weather, or should we say a-boot to be.  There are so many styles—ankle, printed, high, thigh-high, the list is as long as your not-for-long-tanned legs.  But no need to cover everything up yet.  Get down low, and take a cue from starlet favored-Isabel Marant booties and wear low/ankle boots with everything.  I mean, everything.

First up, an adaptation of the Desert Boot.  This style is favored by males, but there is also a way to fem them up a bit.  Plus, they make short dresses more daytime friendly and tomboyish.  Wear a flat pair with little dress.

If you want just a little heeled/hint of leopard pair—throw these on with cropped trousers.

Cowboy it up.  Boots everywhere this fall have a hint of fringe to them.  Don’t pretend you aren’t galloping at the thought of it.

Printed is a great way to jazz up any basic outfit.  If your go-to is a black dress or a simple shift, throw on a pony hair boot like this one, and classic becomes stylish.  The blue hue is more understated and but the brown will look stellar with a high-waist light blue skinny jean, simple white-tee, and black blazer.

Bright colors are also on the fall agenda. A serious POP of color, will make any outfit pop in return.

Two-tone nude and black color blocking is a stylin’ way to dress up a pair of jeans or black trouser.  And the of-the-moment ankle strap raises the fashion stakes.

The neutral-colored wedge ankle boot is essential for day-to-night living.

Whatever you choose, it’ sure to re-boot your style.
