Warped Tour – on tour throughout the nation until August 4. The lineup for this year  includes Sleeping With Sirens, We Came As Romans, Motion City Soundtrack, The Wonder Years, Bring Me The Horizon, Reel Big Fish, Crown The Empire, and The Story So Far.

Mayhem Festival – national tour, June 29-August 4. If the name doesn’t tell you what kind of music fest this is, the headliners will: Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, Mastadon and Amon Amarth.

Lollapalooza – August 2-4, Grant Park, IL. This iconic music festival was revived in 2003, and still going strong today. This year’s lineup includes big names like The Killers, Mumford & Sons, Vampire Weekend, The Cure, Phoenix, Nine Inch Nails, and Ellie Goulding.

Electric Zoo – August 30-September 1, Randall’s Island Park, NY. 2013 marks the fifth year of this electronic/dub-step fest. Avicii, Above & Beyond, Knife & Block, and Benny Benassi are just a few of the acts slated to perform.

Burning Man – August 26-September 2, Black Rock Desert, NV. More of a city than a festival,  this party in the desert gathers tens of thousands of people every year to create Black Rock City, “dedicated to community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance.” Bands for this year have yet to be announced.

Bumbershoot – August 31-September 2, Seattle, WA. The 43rd annual incarnation of this mega-popular music festival stars indie music talents like Death Cab for Cutie, Fun., Teagan and Sara, MGMT and Deerhunter.

Rock the Bells – September 7-October 5, various locations throughout the nation. Celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, this hip-hop festival has gone all out with huge names like Wu-Tang Clan, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Kid Cudi, and Common all set to hit the stage. As an extra special treat, holograms of the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard and Eazy-E are also rumored to “perform.”– Esther Carlstone
